rough cut screening response

The feedback from the class regarding our rough cut:

  • they liked the animations, made it interesting
  • liked the reverse editing
  • certain shots were too bright such as the pen and pad never sleeping shot
  • they liked the black and white effect at the end
  • good performance and lip sync
  • grainy shots need reviewing
  • more colour filters

Editing

Now we are full well on our way to completing our music video, out of a 3 'minute song over 1 minute is completed now, however we were relying on Edward to complete one of the shots in his bedroom, he hasn't done so yet so we can't finish the bits we need for that.

Today me and moshope Carried on editing adding filters on to certain clips such as black and white photo filters.

Filming

As Edward recorded again, we realised that the quality of the shots taken were still grainy and dark. So due to this I came up with an idea that we should not use the bedroom location and it was not cooperating. So due to this I though of an idea to record in the film room in college as there was good lighting and all we really needed was Edward sitting on the table with the a pen, pad and his phone. So at lunch time Edward and I booked the film room and recorded. At the end we got the shots we wanted and after I went to edit the clips in.

Editing

When we started to edit the leake street shots into our music video, we found it very crucial to keeep to the story board as much as possible. Due to the fact that it took a long time to draw out , and it also makes the task of editing a lot easier.

When editing we all give our input as whether we like what we see as our joint coursework task, however some members of the group c

onsider themselves more important to edit.

Street shoot

Today my group edited the shots from the street shoot which took place on hoe street and bakers arms junction .
Our next plan of action is to take shots of police cars for one lyric that says " police man patrolling the streets"
